Ughhh I feel like a swollen whale. Every morning my fingers are so fat and every night my ankles turn into cankles. It's probably due to my recent love with milkshakes, of course! Although maybe it's due to the beautiful weather we've had?? I woke up this morning at 7am and it was 68 degrees out! Holy McMoly! Absolutely crazy... of course the downside to that is we are in Tornado season, so we have severe t-storms & tornado watch expected tonight. Grr.
We're supposed to be closing on the house tonight, 3:00pm is our appointment -- of course we've had the laziest mortgage lady the past few weeks (or are they all this way??). Instead of calling us to get info, she sends us an e-mail URGING us to call her. Really lady?? We still don't even know our closing costs and uhh we close in like 7 hrs! As of last week our Good Faith Estimate said closings would be around $750 so fingers crossed they don't jump much more!! I splurged and bought us a new TV for Ryan's loft (nothing fancy, just a 32" -- but tv's are expensive!) and we still have rent due this Friday and Next Friday... Next Friday because it'll pay for April, our final month here and let us leave early. Thank Goodness Ryan has been working lots of OT though so we'll be able to catch up before Keaton joins us.
My parents come into town in about 3.5 weeks, yay! I haven't seen them since the day after Christmas. Then 2 weeks after that Ryan's mom comes into town, she's staying with us for 5-6 days and that'll be nice to get the help around the house and hopefully her and Ryan can paint Keaton's room for me. I have so many desires for this house but I know the stuff for Keaton comes first because they'll be the most used... like his crib, the glider chair and his changing table/dresser (where we can store his diapers, wipes, creams, etc). I'm happy he has a walk in closet so we can store extra diapers & wipes there and hang all his clothes up. I want to get a 2nd level of shelves so that when he gets bigger he can reach his own clothes too. No rush, of course.
I do still need to order blinds for the front facing windows -- about $60/window (we have 20 windows total!!) and would like to eventually get a king size mattress in our room... keyword: eventually. Our tax return went to our savings and most of it to the fridge... dang freakin appliances! I'm glad we already had our washer/dryer that we bought last May. Sears is coming to deliver the fridge on Wednesday and I can't wait, it's so pretty. And then Friday DirecTv is coming to deliver the satellite dish and AT&T is mailing us our phone/internet package... we got a really good deal, imo, with them. It's like $95/mo for all 3 plus we get all the premium channels like hbo, sho, etc. and our internet modem is wireless so I don't have to deal with setting everything up again like we did with our cable co. We pay $125 right now w/our cable co... ugh.
Keaton arrived May 7, 2011 at 10:24am, weighing 6lbs 6oz and 18 inches long - Corbin arrived August 5th, 2014, weighing 7lbs 7oz and 19 inches long!

Baby Shopping
Yesterday Ryan and I did our weekly grocery shopping at Publix, it was kind of a last minute thing... I had coupons expiring and made him go with ...grocery shopping alone is such a bore!!! Picked up some great food items for us but finally used some Publix coupons that were expiring this weekend... Here's how much my baby items totaled!
3 Sprout Organic Baby Food Pouches Stage 2 - 66 cents each
1 Similac Soy Ready To Feed Formula - $1.99
36 Count Publix Newborn Diapers - $4.99
2 80ct Pack Publix Wipes - $1.99
Baby Orajel - $2.99
Total: $13.94
Savings: $9.98!!
I sure do love Publix Baby Club and the coupons they send me!!! Next time I think I'll buy more of the Playtex Liners for the bottles we bought and get some more size 1 and size 2 diapers ...i have a BoGo coupon for any size Publix Diapers ($7.99 value) ...it'll be nice when we get the changer/dresser so I can put the diapers and wipes away and actually set up the nursery! I told Ryan when his mom visits in April they'll have to do a mother-son bonding and paint the nursery together... the color it is now isn't bad, but I think boy's deserve blue rooms!

Hot Flashes
I really hope I'm not alone here... I have the worst hot flashes lately, now I know what my mom goes through in menopause! I think part of this is to blame on our crazy weather, we went from 30's to 70's almost overnight { not that I'm complaining!! } but it's so embarrassing to suddenly turn red and sweat in a public place. Yikes. With this warm, sunny weather the 'Allergy Gods' have decided to plant themselves in my sinuses which I will complain about because nothing I do seems to relieve it! I tried my saline spray, tylenol (for my headache / pressure build-up), Vick's products, Zyrtec, etc. Next up: Neti Pot... we'll see if it really works as good as people say!
We have our next appointment in a little over 2 weeks and I can't wait. I don't know how other girls complain and nag about going to the OB because I love going. Maybe it's because I have an amazing doctor & super friendly nurses that make me feel real comfortable, I'm not sure. Either way, at our 28 week we get to see Keaton in 3D/4D and that makes me excited -- I think he'll have a lot more of my physical features but that's just me! I'm most curious to know what his eye color will be when he gets older. I was born with blue eyes and over time they turned to a green shade. Ryan has bright blue eyes and that's what I'm rooting for! I was also born with a ton of hair so I'm curious to see how much Keaton has. Only about 14 more weeks until we can hold him, yay!
We're supposed to be closing on the home on the 28th and I can not wait. Our neighbors stairwell is next to our bedroom and his German Shepperd literally barks for 12 hours sitting there -- talk about a latch key dog! Our new neighbors look pretty friendly but we haven't actually met yet. We have neighbors across the street they look like they have a teenager daughter and a medium sized doggy. No neighbors one one side of us and the other side is sold but there hasn't been construction yet. A few homes down there's a younger couple probably in their early 30's... other than that it's a pretty quiet neighborhood. We opted to have the fenced in yard which will make it really private and safe for Keaton to play { big enough for a tree house, fort or swing set!! } and Ryan's excited to be able to play with "boys toys" again... ha ha! Not only that but now we don't have to argue about who has to walk Cooper... even with the dog park right next to our apartment no one really wants to go sit out there at 8pm in the dark with a 10 degree wind chill lol!

23 Weeks
Thank goodness for friends! Deb sent me a bunch of maternity clothes including these GAP jeans... it has a belly panel but I rolled it down for the pics. She also sent me a ton of her youngest son's clothes & toys and more! Sooo thankful for her!!! I went shopping on Old Navy for maternity shirts and got this yellow one I'm wearing, I love it! I also got 3 sweaters ...everything but the tee was on sale I only paid $48 w/tax & shipping!!!
I'm feeling pretty good. Noticing Keaton squirm around a LOT more and I've been ale to sleep a lot more solidly. I can't stay up much past 10 though, that's pushing it lol! We should be moving in the next 2-3 weeks so I've been busy packing up the rooms to do my part -- since you won't see me lifting much weight for the move! Poor Ryan... hopefully he can find a buddy to help him, the couch definitely needs 2 people to lift it... yikes!!
24 Week Appointment + 1hr Glucose Test on the 11th... excited though :)
