Morning Sickness = No Lie!

Oh my gosh, I've been sick for 24hrs now and am miserable. No actual sickness, but constantly nauseated and dizzy. NO appetite either. Hope this means a girl haha... today ive only eaten... some chocolate milk and pb toast for breakfast, a 6pk of lance pb cheese crackers, a few goldfish crackers, water and gatorade, a few sips of a sugary juice smoothie and sips of wonton soup.
I could really go for ice cream, a big salad or a lot of fruit. Oddly this go around anything with grease makes my belly turn.

4 Weeks

So today I'm 3 weeks + 6 days and I officially have my first pre-natal appointment booked with the same Doctor I had with Keaton.  She sees patients at 8 weeks, which is January 15th!! We even got the first appointment of the day.  We'll have an ultrasound, discuss pregnancy timeline, go over the whats healthy & not, get a urine test, etc.

Although I'm totally happy for either gender, of course we would be thrilled with a girl -- that way we have "one of each" :) ...according to the Chinese gender chart, which was accurate for Keaton (of course when your odds are 50/50 or so, whose to blame), I should have a girl.

Our current Estimated Due Date is August 27th, 2014 ...knowing that our doctor doesn't generally allow patients to go beyond that & with the fact Keaton was born at 36wk 2 days, I think this little bumblebee will be here on or before August 14th.

You may be wondering, why bumblebee?  I chose that nickname because it all happened so fast & has been a pain in my rear with nausea.  This was our first month trying to conceive a sibling for Keaton and what do you know, God has his faith in us to carry one of his blessings!

We plan to tell our extended family later this week, we stopped receiving the wonderfully hated question of "when are you going to have another?" about a year ago.  I wonder if people thought we were done?  We weren't, we just were enjoying our time with Keaton... working on his speech, improving his social skills and getting to know him as he grows up (too fast!).  Now that he can speak & sign words, we're excited to bless him with a best friend for life.  Whether that be a baby sister he watches out for or a baby brother he teases, torments & tackles in sports.

BIG BROTHER!

Disclaimer: Please please please, if you are family or friend, keep this between you & I. We want to keep it private until we can confirm firefly jr. is safe & snug in my belly :)

After only one solid month of trying (actually, this was our first month) we were blessed on December 12th with a positive pregnancy test!! Keaton is 2.5, doing extremely well in Speech Therapy & Music, plus is finally weaned from the breast so we figured this would be the perfect time to add a sibling!! Of course, we have our fingers crossed for a girl, but will be totally just as happy with a boy (and will save a lot of money on clothing!)

The funniest part with this all is my EDD is *my* birthdate!  August 27, 2014 ...of course, with the early arrival of Keaton at 36wks 2 days, I don't expect this lightning bug to go beyond 38 weeks, but who really knows!

I know this sounds silly, but I felt I was pregnant the instant we did the deed.  3 days after I had really sore breasts to where even my milk duct was swollen, nausea set in on the 4th day & hasn't let up (this is miserable!) ...today is 10 days post & I've got mild, lingering headaches and fatigue.  None of my symptoms from when I had Keaton so it's very different to me.

Time to start getting healthy & picking up some prenatals today!  Again, if you're reading this and know us personally PLEASE do not spread the word.  We haven't even told family yet & don't plan to for a little while, incorporating this news into Christmas presents! :)  In the mean time, feel free to share your congratulations in the comments section below, lol.
