33+6

Pretty sure he's dropped recently... I have got a total increase in appetite (which everyone I've talked to said happened to them), I pee literally every half an hour and am thirsty constantly, having bowel issues aka constipated, pelvic pressure like he's trying to escape and mild cramping twinges... ughh, good news though it means he could be here in 4 weeks or less *fingers crossed*. Jill wants him to show on her birthday, May 22... my mom wants him here either May 22 or May 25th ...I've had May 26 in my mind but now am thinking May 22 as well.

Only a few weeks left!
Well, only a few weeks left... I'm starting to get into the "miserable" stage, part of it is just the anticipation of holding him and the other is the down hill 'pains' to deal with. We have our next appointment on the 21st and then another on the 5th. On the 5th we get to have another ultrasound to see Keaton -- because I'm measuring big they want to see if it's just him that's big or if I have a lot of amniotic fluid surrounding him. Since my mom had two big babies, I'm going to safely assume he's a big boy too! Fortunately we're prepared if he comes early and Ryan and I actually want him to come early... c'mon May baby!
This past week we have gotten a ton of great gifts from our Amazon registry! Ryan's dad sent us our stroller, which we weren't even expecting (turns out he saw one in the park near his house and when he saw it on our registry he felt it a sign to buy us it! lol). We also got our car seat, it took us forever to find and luckily Ryan's brother Rob found it online for us. The color is on back order almost everywhere we looked!!! Who knew "Midori" (Green) would be so popular this season. We also got a huge box of new & used clothes from my friend Katie who got it from a friend whose kid out grew them. There has to be at least 30 outfits in that box!!! The next day we got a box from my cousin Suzy who sent us a bunch of goodies -- pacifier, blanket, bibs, coupons, clothes. Then (yes, there is more!) yesterday we got 8 items from Ryan's co-worker Karen who shopped our registry!!! We got things like a bottle starter set, anti-colic bottles, bowls & spoons, a stroller/car seat arch toy and this cute army camo layette set!!! Oh yes and ONE more... the cute beanie that I showed in a previous post.
So needless to say we are prepared if Keaton comes early. The only things I really need to get still are a breast pump (but I can go a few weeks post-birth for that) and diaper rash creme. I still want to buy him his crib mobile too, it's too cute... but again I can wait a few weeks after his birth. Ryan still has 1/2 the nursery to paint, we'll see if he can get that done today!!
I can't complain too much about my pains, I have a pinching feeling in my left pelvis today. I'm curious if he "dropped" further into the pelvic/birth canal area to prepare for labor in the coming weeks. He has always favored his head in my pelvis so it wouldn't surprise me! Yesterday I was having a hard stomach that loosened up later on and come to find out they could have been Braxton Hicks Contractions... harmless/false contractions that prepare the body for labor. They weren't painful but my stomach got ROCK hard, it was so bizarre. Oh and I've been very very thirsty lately... yesterday I had about 10 cups of 16oz of water! And I'm really into crushed ice lately, yum lol.

Norm?
So I think I'm in the norm for weight gain -- I've gained 35 pounds and some change (35.3lbs I think?) since the day I found out I was pregnant -- 9/26/2010. I can't complain, I say that is pretty good and feel like it could be considered in the norm. I know way too many gals who gained 50-70 pounds, which I think is a little excessive unless you started around 100 pounds, lol! My goal was to only gain 30 but what can you do?
I'm curious to see how much I weigh the day I go to the hospital as well as what my doctors starting weight # was for me at 10 weeks. Since I only gained 9lbs the second 10 weeks (week 10-20) I think I should be in the clear. My biggest weight gains were week 20-24 and then week 28-30. I think I've done pretty well the past two weeks, but it didn't help having family around and eating out 2-3 times a day!

What are you growing?
So today we picked up more plants when we were at Home Depot... not the place I desired to get some at but I couldn't resist (we had a gift card + they were good prices!)
We got Thai Basil, Pineapple Sage & Sweet Peppers (I can't recall the actual name of the peppers though). I'm also growing cucumbers & salad mix -- which fyi are both on a sprouting roller coaster thanks to today's gorgeous weather -- tomatoes, sweet basil, cilantro and oregano... and once we buy some raised planter boxes -- stupid HD was sold out at every store we went to -- we are going to plant carrots, green beans (i think they are the pole variety) and squash. I really want to pick up some blueberry bushes next and maybe a fruit tree... something that might not grow this year, but will give us something to look forward to next year or the year after.
Today we picked up a bbq/smoker by Brinkmann and I'm impressed that based on the size, how good it is... it's compact, simple to use & we can cook two things at once (according to the box that is... it says you could cook a turkey + some veggies on top of it). It can also be used as a roaster and holds 50 pounds of meat!

Nursey Paint Color
Today we went to Home Depot (again -- our 4th visit in two days, lol!!!) and we decided on this Behr premium paint color, called Clear Water. We were going to paint this weekend but it was gorgeous -- right now its 85* at 5pm!!! Sooo we passed and bought a bbq/smoker instead which Ryan just put together and finished up some front landscaping. By this time next week we should have it finished for good.
