30 Down!
Today was our THIRTY week appointment, wow where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday I was walking in for our ten week appointment for our first ultrasound. Only ten more weeks to go now!!! I've gained a little much *gasp* but the nurse and doctor keep reassuring me its from my water weight that's soaking up my ankles... ugh. I'm not on bed rest *thank god* but she did tell me to keep my feet up as much as I can when I'm not doing anything (ie: laying in bed, laying on the couch, sitting at my desk) and to stick to drinking water more than ever. I've also had major hot flashes lately... great I get to enjoy this for about 14 more weeks, she said they should die off about 4 weeks after labor. Really? Man this sucks.
My major cravings the past week have been Sonic's Chicago Hot Dog... mmmm. And ice cream, but I've always loved ice cream. I haven't had any in two days I'm going through withdrawal! Aside from that no major cravings of any sort... I'm going to put myself on a veggie, fruit, protein diet for the next two weeks and really watch my sodium intake. My BP was fine (112 over 70 I believe) which is reassuring. Guess I'll have to cut out those hashbrowns from McD's lol!!! I haven't been sleeping real well, my hips ache and my belly is just so big now. Oh yeah, yesterday the cashiers at Babies R Us asked me if I'm "carrying twins". Can you believe the nerve?? I wanted to cuss them out on the spot I was so furious and the rest of the night I was depressed and had a mommy melt down.

Update on Themes
Just wanted to update everyone on Keaton's nursery & bathroom themes:
His nursery doesn't have a specific "theme" but is rather colors - navy blue, lime green, aqua blue, white & mahogany. So any toys, storage, decor of those colors are great additions! His walls will be aqua blue with white trim (the doors are also white) and his furniture is mahogany. We recently got a glider chair that is lime green fabric and are planning to hang navy blue curtains and eventually buying mahogany colored wood blinds. His crib bumpers are in the Michael Miller 'Whimsy' Pattern of the same colors listed above.
His bathroom is a duck theme... so anything yellow, orange, blue or white will fit perfectly ~ or if you see anything duck themed really cute either in toys or decor we'd love to add it to the bathroom!
His gear (ie: stroller, playpen, etc) are apple green and either brown or black. We chose this as a universal gender color that we can keep for baby #2 - way down the road, lol! So any attachable toys for the stroller or car seat can be in any playful, fun bright colors for him.

Keaton in 4D!
Friday we had our 28 week appointment and got to see Keaton in 4D -- we got to take home a video and still shots. Here's a few of our favorite:
I am so excited to see what he looks like when he's born!!! So far two people have told me from the photos he "looks like ryan" but it seems like baby girls look like their dads & baby boys look more like their mom... so i guess only time will tell! I hope he has Ryan's eyes (especially the blue color!) but I hope he has my lips and cheeks, haha.

Grocery Day!!
Today we stocked up on groceries for two weeks -- this time I was smart and ate lunch before we went... so I wasn't so drawn to food, haha! I am really impressed with our shopping skills, we've gotten so good. Coupons are addicting and it's such a great feeling to save money -- I don't understand how people afford shopping (or other things?) without coupons!! I always try to keep my groceries under $200/mo and this is our first shopping trip for the month, we'll go again on the 25th.
Today at Publix we spent $98.73 with taxes -- we saved $66.46. Of that $66.46, only $29.23 was from automatic store sales/discounts. $37.23 was from coupons I brought with me!!!
We were able to get a lot of great deals... even a bottle of wine (cheers to our new home!!)...
3 8-packs of Gatorade Bottles for $10.00 or 42 cents each
7 Jars of Earth's Best Baby Food 6mo + for 29 cents each
3 Bags Frozen Veggies for 22 cents each
12 Pack of Sparkling Water for $2.08 or 17 cents a can
Free can of Chef Boyardee Ravioli
Simply Orange & Simply Lime Juices for $1.33 each
